Our Community Meal is offered every Thursday at 5:00 pm as a convenient drive-up, take-away meal, making it easy for individuals and families to receive a warm, nourishing dinner from the comfort of their vehicle. In partnership with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, St. John of the Cross Parish, and Ss. Robert & William Parish work together to serve our neighbors with dignity, efficiency, and compassion. What began as a humble outreach effort at St. John of the Cross in 2021 has continued to grow, and in 2024 expanded through a shared commitment with Ss. Robert & William. Today, this collaborative ministry provides consistent weekly meals to our community, ensuring that anyone in need can quickly and safely receive support. No registration is required—simply drive up, and we will gladly serve you.
In addition to our weekly Thursday meals, we are blessed to provide special holiday meals for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, ensuring that families in our community can celebrate these sacred and meaningful days with a warm meal. These holiday distributions have been incredibly well attended, clearly reflecting both the need within our community and the trust placed in our parishes. On average, we serve nearly 400 meals for each holiday, a testament to the generosity of our volunteers and parishioners. Preparing and distributing meals on this scale requires significant planning, hands-on help, and continued financial support. If you would like to volunteer or contribute toward our holiday meal efforts, please contact the parish office at 216-731-1515. Your generosity helps make these celebrations possible for so many families.
